Fans disappointed after Riverdale star KJ Apa likes a fat-shaming post

Riverdale‘s Kiwi boy, KJ Apa is facing some serious backlash after he liked a fat-shaming post.

According MTV, Apa’s eagle-eyed followers noticed he liked a comment on Instagram that was blatantly derogatory to overweight people. The comment appeared to excuse the bullying of overweight people by saying they deserved it, a screenshot that has circulated online showed.

The comment suggested it was moral to make “fun of fat people” because they deserved it and it would help them lose weight faster.

Apa was yet to address the screenshot, but had posted to Instagram saying he was excited for the release of controversial film A Dog’s Purpose, in which he acted.
